The facility showcases the legacy and accomplishments of the Airmen as well as inspires youth to achieve excellence while motivating youth towards careers in aviation and aerospace science and technology. Additionally, locating the facility on the CAYIA campus enhances the arrival and departure experience of the airport while becoming an international destination commemorating the contributions of African Americans to the defense of the United States.
