Detroit Future City Strategic Framework Plan

HAA was the lead consultant on the Strategic Framework Planning Team, working with Toni Griffin of Urban Planning & Design for the American City. Through collaboration with Ms. Griffin and a team of local, national, and international planning experts, the Detroit Future City Strategic Framework Plan emerged as a comprehensive, action-oriented blueprint for near and long range decision-making, including a physical vision, policies and implementation strategies, and assignments of implementation responsibilities.

Published in 2012, the Strategic Framework Plan works with a newly formed broad steering committee, including community leaders, foundations, city representative, business representatives. It includes new land-use, infrastructure, transportation, and economic development strategies and provides an informed context within which the City of Detroit may craft additional short-term actions.
