Detroit Community Health Connection

The Detroit Community Health Connection, Inc. (DCHC) wished to embark on a renovation and addition of two of their facilities (Bruce Douglas and Eastside Health Centers). It was requested that the two facilities have an assessment of their general condition and a program generated to include desired spaces, size requirements, future needs and wish list items.

 A concept was developed and a preliminary cost budget established in order to apply for funding grants. HAA developed priority lists, established the improvement budgets and assisted with writing a CIP Grant with the Owner."

The proposed improvements included an increase in capacity at both clinics, enlarged waiting/reception areas, renovated Adult, OB/GYN, Pediatrics and Dental exam rooms and labs. The plans improved circulation and comfort for both patients and staff. Operational costs will be decreased with new high efficient lighting and HVAC systems.
