NOMA Conference 2023

HAA was well-represented last week at the annual 2023 NOMA Conference  Building Bridges Toward Just & Joyful Futures held in Portland, Oregon. Attending this year’s conference, along with over 1,400 attendees, was Lee Carter, Shawndia North and Michele Robinson. Mark Farlow also attended and presented “Paradise Valley / Black Bottom: Erasing History / Re-Writing the Future.” The five-day conference scheduled plenary sessions on most days and our team attended many of them and participated in the Career Expo on Saturday-where we met the brightest representatives of the architectural future. The conference was a memorable opportunity to come together and share ideas, business cards, and smiles. We met many, many new friends and reconnected with many familiar friends as well. NOMA is a rich organization steeped in history and showing great promise. HAA was thrilled to participate and celebrate in this year’s event. Looking forward to Baltimore in 2024.
