Hamilton Anderson Associates brought home three professional design awards from the 45th annual NOMA Conference, which took place from Oct. 11 through 14 in Houston.

The design team took a historic hotel that had decayed into a hulking eyesore and sat vacant for nearly a decade and transformed it into a viable asset with both market rate and affordable housing and retail space in the heart of Midtown, Detroit.

The team responded to an RFP to create a mixed-use, affordable and accessible residential development in a popular Detroit destination.

Missing Middle – MIND THE GAP | Citation Vision
The design team looked to create Missing Middle Housing options in a Neighborhood Main Street Node within a mixed-use district in Detroit along a commercial corridor while also bringing services to revitalize the area.
